Backstory

“D.C.-based artist Jake Embers crafts a visceral yet ethereal mixture of alternative rock, alternative pop, electronic, and trap. He holds his identity as an artist, producer, and songwriter.

He started teaching himself music production and began to experiment with songwriting at ten years old. As he honed his craft, experimenting with sound became second nature. He would begin to release music under the initial “Jake CDG” moniker in 2021, connecting with the community of the hyperpop scene, before deciding to change his name to release under the Jake Embers moniker. Jake Embers’ music has been described as visceral while being ethereal, with his music being laden with falsettos and ground-shattering guitars, with the use of non-conventional songwriting structures frequently appearing in his music. While his music may initially envelop listeners in transcendent atmospheres and lush melodies, he disrupts this tranquility with sections emanating intensities that hit with unbridled emotion. Jake Embers’  sound is a culmination of his diverse musical influences. 

During the summer of 2023, Jake Embers released his single “YOU,” accompanied by a music video directed by him, shot in various locations around the world. In December 2023, Jake Embers would release a double single for “Innocent” and “River.””
